About AOR

The Aesthetic of Résistance is an amalgamation of years of conceptual research, internal honesty and reluctance from conformity. There lies a deeper message and story behind each garment. To be calling it Art would be bastardizing it's very essence, so we call it freedom from conformity. The Aesthetic of Résistance was born from the Revolutions across the world, the voice and aesthetics of the people who chose to speak up, be broken down and get up again. Protest art in the form of garments. Protest and resistance can be external within society or internal amongst emotions.

The Aesthetic of Résistance articulates this in their clothes and their manifesto.

The Aesthetic Of Résistance is not a clothing brand it is an Ideology, a movement, a revolution. Who dictates the law? Who decides for us? We have been systematically eaten, chewed up, swallowed, thrown up and spat out by society and its puppets. We are the recycled youth, the cockroaches who never die, the flags that never stop fluttering, the dogs who bite the hand that feeds us.
